It is always an absolute honor to be invited to document a wedding. I mean, at each wedding there are only a select number of family and friends invited to partake in and witness the celebration, and I am fortunate enough to be one of them! When I stop to think about it, I am honestly so humbled by it. Danielle and Steve's wedding, however, takes honor to a whole new level, because they them selves are photographers---Danielle as the lead and Steve as her devoted and doting second shooter. When we met via Skype (during which Danielle cried real tears of happiness) I was certain I wanted to be a part of THEIR special day...they were genuine, warm, excited and trusting of me to capture what they envisioned for their wedding.
In the month of October, I was blessed to photograph 6 weddings---and it rained for 5 of them, and Danielle and Steve's was one of them. Instead of allowing water falling from the sky dampen their spirits, Steve instead gently encouraged his bride by saying, "a lot of people get sunshine on their wedding days---but only a rare few get rain. How lucky are we?". Heart.....melt. This is what marriage is all about---making the best out of the tough situations and uplifting one another when they need it. I have no doubt this marriage will continue to be a dream come true! Love you both and so happy to call you my friends. Truly. xo
