Rachel & Josh's storyline has always had a common theme-LOVE-and it actually began on the day they were born, because it was in fact the very same day. Miles apart from one another and within hours, these two tiny little souls who were divinely created for one another, both breathed in their first breath of air. It also so happened to fall on a day universally celebrated as a holiday of LOVE; Valentine's Day. How incredible is that! I get chills....
Fast forward to their freshman year of college, Rachel and Josh met during a "get to know you" event to connect students--but this was no ordinary "have snacks and mingle" type of party. You see, Rachel and Josh were paired together to play the Newlywed Game (again, enter the ever present theme of LOVE). Rachel was immediately drawn to Josh's ability to listen---and Josh (I'm assuming) was immediately drawn to Rachel's beauty inside and out (because honestly, how could you not be!). What could have been an incredibly awkward first meeting, soon blossomed into an incredible friendship which provided the perfect foundation in which they constructed their own LOVE story.
Rachel and Josh were blessed with a rare January weekend of sunshine for their nuptials at the Sterling Hotel in Sacramento. Their candlelit ceremony was scheduled for after sunset, so after their "first look", we went alone to Capital Park for photographs and an opportunity for the two of them to genuinely connect before resuming the exciting flurry of wedding activities with all of their beloved family and friends. I could not have been more pleased to spend my first wedding of the 2017 with this group of people. Honored. Truly. xo
