Wedding | Melissa & Kyle

Before Melissa and Kyle came together to profess their vows, one thing captured me before anything else: Melissa's endearing relationships with her family and friends.  Melissa and her "fab 5" group of gal pals share an unbreakable sisterhood full of unfailing support, compassion to during times of defeat, and mutual joy to pop a bottle of bubbly (or two) in celebration of triumphs!!  It really is a beautiful thing to observe...women uplifting other women!  And of course...Kyle..what isn't there to love about this one?  They say a measure of a strong man is how gently he loves his woman...and he loves Melissa in the most tender and sweet way possible.  Their Folktale Winery Wedding in Carmel was the most enchanting day...and I loved every moment of being a part of it. xo

Proposal story from the couple:
"He drove along Ocean Avenue while the sun was setting and asked me to walk with him before dinner. We got out of the truck and walked down to the path along the ocean where he got down on his knee and told me the best things I have ever heard in my life. He told me about the first time he ever saw me, about how I am his best friend, and why he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. It was perfect!! I cried (A LOT) and after calling our families he took me to dinner (with reservations that I, the micro manager DIDN'T know about ;) at Sardine Factory in Monterey. We spent the rest of the night talking about the wedding we would plan and also about starting our family afterward. So much fun to reminisce!!!"

Engagement | Jessica & Jeremy

Location: Sacramento, California

After photographing a couple for their wedding or engagement session, I come away with a deeper understanding and perspective on what it is to be connected with another person.  Jess and Jeremy have the kind of bond that allows them to celebrate giggles at inside jokes, sweet tender kisses, and I thoroughly just enjoyed snapping away as they were lost in one another.  Enjoy some of my favorites from their recent downtown Sacramento engagement session...xo

Wedding | Addy & Dominick

I just have one word for Addy……..GORGEOUS!!!  She is a beauty, whose smile just radiates the pure joy and love that is bubbling over for Dominick.  In their wedding gallery she is quite literally glowing in every. single. image.  It is her pure emotion that makes this career the VERY best one out there!!!!  Addy is originally from Africa, so seeing the incorporation of her African wedding traditions blended with her now Westernized culture was perfection–the women in Addy’s life sang and chanted her to the ceremony site, while laying down fabric at her feet so she wouldn’t soil her soles–it was amazing!  Thank you Addy & Dominick and all of your wonderful family and friends for having us take a small part in your forever….you two are such a wonderful couple who are so obviously divinely created for one another! xo

Wedding | Tiffany & Shawn

After meeting in a 7th grade math class and the proposal being in San Francisco, it was only fitting that these two  tie the knot on “pi” day  (3/14/15) and in the city by the bay…

Tell me about the proposal. I want all the details!
Shawn proposed on the Hornblower dinner cruise on the SF Bay. He proposed soon after we left the dock. We had a really nice view of the Palace of Fine Arts at night. I knew he had picked out a ring a few months earlier, but I didn’t know when he would propose. The views of SF were so beautiful, but I couldn’t stop staring at my ring!

Wedding: Erica & Shane

Location: Foresthill, California

First date details from the couple:
We went to sushi bistro in the Richmond district in San Francisco. She was so nervous she barely ate while I on the other hand order 4 rolls 6 orders of nigiri and an appetizer. I thought I was going to get some help but no…..I felt like a fatty.

Wedding: Nicole & Eric

Location: Morgan Creek, Roseville, CA

The word the comes to mind when I think of Nicole and Eric is “laughter”.  These two have one another cracking up and laughing ALL. THE. TIME!  It is so clear that they are truly one another’s best friend and soul mate.  From the moment I met them…there was laughter…and a lot of it.  I am often asked…what makes a wedding amazing in terms of photography?  And contrary to what people might think…it isn’t all about the venue , the details, the dress, or even the flowers (although Nicole and Eric’s wedding included the most gorgeous selection of all of those things).  But what makes a wedding truly spectacular in my eyes is the chemistry between my bride groom.  I can pose people all day long, but when a couple’s chemistry shines through and they are just naturally sweet, affectionate and IN LOVE with one another—those photos blow any posed photographs away!!!!!  Nicole and Eric are this kind of couple….just perfectly suiting one another and constantly touching, moving, laughing and kissing each other.  This is a photographer dream come true!  Their Morgan Creek Golf Course wedding in Roseville, CA was the perfect backdrop for their opulent and glam wedding.  There were full blooms of hydrangeas that paired beautifully with their black, ivory and gold decor—it was stunning and everything sparkled and glittered just perfectly.

This blog post is dedicated to Eric’s cousin, Kevin Rudi, who celebrated with us in spirit as “paper Kevin” and via Skype but who sadly lost his battle with cancer in November. May God Bless you and your family and friends.
