Tyler is a groom who is all things traditional, Star Wars and sentimental. In fact, the only "unconventional" portion of being wed to beautiful Crystal, was that is it was in fact held on a Monday----BUT---with very good reason. You see, this particular Monday was the anniversary of his and Crystal's first date---pretty darn romantic right? With the help of some amazing vendors (listed at the end of this post)...this Monday wedding WAS still quite the dance party and celebration of two very special people in love!
Proposal story from the couple:
"A couple weeks before last Christmas, Tyler nonchalantly told me he wanted to take me out to a nice dinner before he had to have shoulder surgery and I would be busy taking care of him during his recovery. The week leading up to the day, he left a couple times on his own to run errands but I assumed he was out shopping for Christmas gifts for me or picking out a Christmas card for me.
On December 14, 2014 Tyler took me to dinner at Il Fornaio, our "first-date" restaurant. He suggested I wear the same bright fushcia dress I had worn on our first date there. When we got to the restaurant, the hostess, who was in on the secret, led us to a booth in the back corner of the restaurant. I saw that it had a special white and black overlay tablecloth with red rose petals strewn over the table top and on the seats with a large, gorgeous bouquet of red roses on the table. Next to the roses was a framed picture of us from our first date at the same restaurant. My first thought was that he was being extra romantic and I noticed the waitress holding up his cell phone. Thinking she was trying to take a photo for us, I kept trying to pose nicely for the camera. I then noticed Tyler grabbing my hands trying to get my attention before he got down on one knee and that's when I finally realized what he was doing.
After his sweet proposal and I had said "yes", he lifted up his pant leg to reveal a small bulge in his black dress sock. Laughter erupted from the couple sitting near us who witnessed the whole thing. Tyler reached into his sock to reveal the ring box he had hidden in there and slipped on my finger the most beautiful ring.
We then spent the next 2.5 hours there in heightened excitement as he explained how he'd set things up, how he'd secretly asked my parents for their blessing. We eventually ordered and ate. It was probably the best day ever."
